πŸ”‹ Why Does My Tire Inflator Still Show Charging After Being Fully Charged?

Updated on May 28, 2025

Applies to Models:
βœ… Zephyr S3
βœ… Zephyr S5
βœ… Vortex S6
βœ… Vortex S6E
βœ… Vortex S7

πŸ”Ž The Short Answer:

If your tire inflator still shows the charging icon or status after it's fully charged, don’t worry — this is completely normal behavior.

🧠 Why It Happens:

When the Zephyr S3, S5, or Vortex S6/S6E/S7 is reconnected to a charger after reaching full charge, the screen may continue to show a "charging" status for about 3 to 5 minutes. This happens because:

1. Battery Voltage Monitoring

The device continuously monitors the battery voltage while connected to a charger. When plugged in, the battery voltage is slightly elevated, which may still be interpreted as "charging."

2. System Design

The internal program is designed to update the charging status gradually. This brief delay helps protect the battery and ensures accurate voltage detection.

βœ… What You Should Do:

No action is required!
This is part of the system’s normal operation and does not affect battery health or performance.

The charging display will typically update automatically after a few minutes.

⚠️ Helpful Tip:

To maintain battery health:

  • Unplug the inflator after it’s fully charged

  • Avoid leaving it plugged in for extended periods unnecessarily
